Week 6: Final Project Implementation Presentation

Purpose

This presentation is an opportunity for the DNP student to disseminate the details of their implementation and evaluation plan of their DNP project. This will be a video presentation of er created in week 4.

Course Outcomes

Through this assignment, the DNP student will demonstrate achievement of NR707 Course Outcomes:

CO 1: Demonstrate effective project management strategies (POs 2, 3, 6, 7, 8).

CO 3: Demonstrate knowledge and skills in support for and dissemination of scholarship (POs 2, 3).

CO 4: Use project management processes to implement the DNP project (POs 4, 8).

Due Date

The Late Assignment Policy applies to this assignment.

The assignment is due by Sunday 11:59 p.m. MT at the end of Week 6.

Total points possible: 200 points

Preparing the Assignment

The following are best practices for preparing this presentation:

1. Please review and follow the rubric for this assignment.

2. Revise the Professional Poster from week 4 using your faculty’s feedback.

3. View Kaltura (Links to an external site.) located in the Student Resource Center under “Technologies” to learn how to create a video presentation.

4. Create a 3-5 minute video of the student giving an oral presentation and description of er as they would in a public presentation.

5. Content of the presentation should include:

a. Title, brief introduction, and the project question.

b. Implementation Plan

      i.  While not included in er content, a weekly plan for the entire implementation is provided. Each week’s activities are clearly discussed.
ii. The intervention implementation beginning and end is clearly stated.
iii. The data collection cycles (i.e. pre-intervention and post-intervention) are clearly discussed.

     c. Evaluation

       i. Summative Evaluation method
ii. The data collection tool is discussed in detail including the title of the tool, authors, permission, and validity OR if using a chart audit, or data from the EHR, the data collected is clearly discussed including the exact data and method for  obtaining the data, i.e. chart audit or report from the EHR.
iii. Implications for Nursing and Healthcare Briefly state the implications for nursing and healthcare in bullet points.

6. Verbal Presentation should include:

       i. Speech that is fluid with clear enunciation and volume of speech is appropriate (not too loud or too soft).
ii. Communicates enthusiasm with varying intonation. No use of slang.
iii. Adhere to time limit of 3- 5 minutes.
