Commonly known asacid deposition, acid rain is an extensive term, which incorporates the various precipitation forms with acidity factors. The mostcommon factors are nitric and sulfuric acid, which mainly falls on land from the mesosphere. In most cases, the acid usually falls indry or wet forms (Rothschild, 2019). Such forms include hail, snore, rain, or dust, which could be acidic. Scientifically, acid rainusually occurs during the elimination of nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere. During the elimination process, aircurrents and wind are known to transport the emissions (Shabazz-Perez, 2004). The two acid molecules react with various chemicals,oxygen, and water, thus forming nitric and sulfuric substances. In the end, the substance usually mixes with multiple materials,including water, before the ground fall. Apart from nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxides, volcanoes are also known to cause acid,especially with fossil fuel burning (Shabazz-Perez, 2004). Upon the release of atmospheric nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxides, windsusually blow the acidities over long distances, making such rains an environmental threat.EffectsAcid rains remain a threat, especially to the ecosystems, including the aquatic environments such as marshes, lakes, andstreams. In such places, acid rains mainly harm marine animals and wildlife. The rains put animals such as fish in great danger. Asthe acid rainwater absorbs through the soil, it leaches aluminum primarily from soil clay before flowing into water masses such aslakes and streams (Shabazz-Perez, 2004). Few animals and plants are likely to survive the excessive acidic waters. However, mostplants are acid-sensitive, which means they are likely to be lost significantly when the pH drops (Rothschild, 2019). Most youngspecies remain sensitive to such conditions. For instance, young fish are unlikely to survive or hatch when the pH is at five.Apart from harming the aquatic animals, acid rains also break trees and plants. As previously stated, the rain usually leachesaluminum, especially from healthy soil. Once the water drains aluminum, the ground becomes hazardous to animals and plants. Theharm is typically evident because the acid eliminates nutrients and soil minerals, making it difficult for plants to develop (ShabazzPerez, 2004). Acidic clouds and fog usually destroy nutrients from plants, killing them instantly. Acid rains also cause nitrogenpollution, which might cause environmental issues. For instance, ecological experts state that nitrogen pollution, which remainsstandard across the coastal waters, causes a decline in shellfish and fish populations.Dust particles are also known for their acidic levels, in what experts call dry deposition. However, before deciding on thesocial media marketing platform, it is imperative to understand the audience (Geyser, 2018). In this particular scenario,adolescents and young adults are the primary targets or audiences. Adolescents and young adults are known to spend a lot oftime on social media platforms. Considering that the target population uses more than one social media platform, it isimperative to use more than one platform to market the education program.Four leading social media platforms will be used to market the program: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linkedln. Socialmedia profiles will be created on all platforms, and interactive content on the educational program will be constantly postedto make awareness and engage with the public (Newberry, 2019). In addition to posting relevant content on the social media platforms, online social media surveyswill be conducted to identify specific areas on the education program that the public would want to be addressed.
