How has your fellow learner\u2019s response shed further light on how to improve communication?\u00a0Communication is a key factor that makes conversations go much smoother. \u00a0Celeste made several good points, including how the new generation spends so much time texting. \u00a0I feel the generation of texters are losing valuable communication skills. \u00a0One of the issues with communicating by text is Perception. \u00a0It is very difficult to understand perception through a message. \u00a0It is much easier to understand through two-way communication. \u00a0One of the things I need to work on is multi-tasking while trying to have a conversation. \u00a0I tend to struggle to set aside time to truly listen and it is something I must work on. \u00a0Interviewing is always an interesting topic for me. \u00a0Whether, I am being interviewed or the interviewer, I tend to ramble on way too much on personal experiences and probably tend to lose people in the conversation because of my rambling. \u00a0My favorite quote from Celeste is \u201cno one ever listened their way out of a job\u201d. \u00a0I need to work on my listening skills in many situations and I have learned that talking too much can be a good way to talk your way out of a good opportunity. \u00a0Communication is such a key concept in many areas, not just interviews. \u00a0Communication in marriages and with family members can be extremely important also. \u00a0I for one am guilty of not listening to all the conversation, whether it be at home, or work and this is an area I must improve upon. \u00a0I look forward to using the techniques discussed in the video to help further my communication skills.
