Each student will conduct a personal assessment of their strengths and weaknesses as it pertains to their personal emotional intelligence (EQ).The assessment will include documenting their own thoughts on the dimensions of EQ, and will also include the candid (anonymous is preferable) assessments from at least 3 trusted confidantes (more is better), e.g., friends, significant other, family, co-workers. The dimensions of EQ that should be assessed can be found in a sample peer assessment instrument in eCourseware (in the Content section under IT Leadership).<\/p>\n
The assessment should include: <\/p>\n
1) your personal self-assessment; <\/p>\n
2) the survey results from your trusted confidantes; <\/p>\n
3) your reaction to the results, i.e., how they are similar\/dissimilar to your personal assessment, and your thoughts pertaining them; and <\/p>\n
4) where appropriate, your plans for improving on your EQ dimensions. <\/p>\n
The deliverable is a 1800-2000-word document and will be uploaded as a single Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) <\/p>\n
