Agile tailoring is simply a process of customizing a specific agile model or a framework for various reasons. In practice, sometime teams consciously modify the process for various reason such as effective coordination, organizational structuring, and delivery speed etc. At the same time, some teams change without understanding the impact or potential risks, but they recognize the fact that something must be done to improve the performance factor.In practice, tailoring agile processes still become fully achievable in the sense that tailoring is a continuous process because uncertainty continue to increase as project become more complex because of the changing requirement of customer need and environmental competitiveness among project management companies.In most of my experience at work, I have realized that most team always carefully evaluate the situation before making the decision to tailor an agile framework because globalization create expansivity which require further risk analysis in determining it compatibility. Furthermore, based on my experience most often struggling Scrum team always decide to eliminate the sprint retrospective from its normal operation because most often they consider it a waste of time. The bad problem with this discretionary decision or practice is that they are not questioning why is not adding value and work on figuring how to make it create value to customer without incurring waste. Most often it occurred to me that a lot of people have lost the fact that scrum is a cohesive unit that intended to be applied.In the same vein, tailoring of any agile process framework helps team to understand the value of inspection and adaptation so that they can explore different ways to execute retrospective as integral part of their practice.In the same vein, a lot of time many practitioner continue to question if governance can work on agile projects. The truth is absolutely yes based on experience at work and it is very important for everybody to understand that governance is not an evil but for check and balance to be establish which help all members of project team to endeavor to comply with requirement. Governance check points at a variety of times helps in placing check and balances to a project in the following strategy such as\u00b7 Early review of their plans for scope, budget, and scheduleA review of architectural and design decisionsA review that the application is ready for system or customer acceptance testingA review that the product can be handed off to a support organization; and so on.Broadly, reconciling agile and governance using scrum have revealed that it allows teams the freedom of managing itself and the project in an agile manner. Secondly, it is important to have governance embedded into agile projects because it creates visibility into most of the company projects.
