Project Quality Management: Case Study
The Recreation and Wellness Intranet Project team is working hard to ensure that the new system they\u00a0develop meets expectations. The team has a detailed scope statement, but the project manager, Tony Prince,\u00a0wants to make sure they\u2019re not forgetting requirements that might affect how people view the quality of the\u00a0project. He knows that the project\u2019s sponsor and other senior managers are most concerned with getting\u00a0people to use the system, improve their health, and reduce healthcare costs. Users want the system to be\u00a0user-friendly, informative, fun to use, and fast.
Project Quality Management: Assignment (3 Tasks)
Develop a\u00a0list of quality standards\u00a0or requirements related to meeting the stakeholder expectations\u00a0described in the Running Case. Also provide a brief description of each requirement. For example, a\u00a0requirement might be that 90 percent of employees have logged into the system within two weeks after the\u00a0system rolls out.
Based on the list created,\u00a0write a summary\u00a0determining how you will measure progress on meeting the\u00a0requirements. For example, you might have employees log into the system as part of the training program and\u00a0track who attends the training. You could also build a feature into the system to track usage by user name,\u00a0department, and other criteria.
After analyzing survey information, you decide to create a Pareto chart to see which types of recreational\u00a0programs and company-sponsored classes generated the most interest. Use the pareto template to create an\u00a0Excel spreadsheet and\u00a0Pareto Chart\u00a0using the data in the following table. Copy your chart to a word document\u00a0for turn in and list the most frequently requested programs or classes first.<\/p>\n
