Continuing with one of the organisations from LO1 address the following.


LO2 Evaluate the influences that drivers of change have on organizational behavior


This learning outcome encompasses P2, P3, M2 and D1 is linked to LO1 & 2


In LO1 you identified some drivers of change, continuing with those examples evaluate the ways in which internal and external drivers of change affect leadership, team and individual behaviours within your chosen organisation.


When you evaluate you must highlight to extent both internal and external drivers of change and how they affect leadership, team and individual behaviours. Change can have both a positive and negative impact. You must include your own judgement supported with research. Consider the following;


Psychological impact of change e.g psychological contracts


Team dynamics


Management strategies


Organizational type and culture


Evaluate measures that can be taken to minimise the negative impacts of change on organisational behavior


When you evaluate you need to comment on the effectiveness of the models utilised to respond to drivers of change. When evaluating strategies utilised consider the following;


The use of systems theory and continuous improvement models to predict and proactively plan for change


Using the Burke-Litwen model to make the change process efficient and effective


To achieve M2 you must develop your answers to ensure that you are critically evaluating the organisations response and ensure that your answer is well supported with the application of models and theories. There should be evidence of wider reading and research and the use of examples to support your answer.


You can further develop your answer to include recommendations with valid justifications for planning effectively for change and applying the change impact analysis. To do so you could include Bohner and Arnold Change Impact analysis (D1).
