I agree with Dr. Wells’ point of view regarding growing miniature versions of human organs in the lab—that although ethical considerations must be taken into account when discussing such topics, ultimately exploring every option available has potential life-saving implications which should not be overlooked or dismissed lightly without taking into consideration all aspects involved first hand (such as including input from various perspectives). Additionally, theoretical concepts explored throughout course such as utilitarianism help support my position here by emphasizing the importance placed upon net gain/maximizing overall good even if it means sacrificing some individuals’ preferences/desires along way—which is exactly what would happen here if we were able utilize lab grown miniaturized organs for transplantation: some people’s preferences may need/have sacrificed so that others can benefit from technology and knowledge gained through research conducted on certain types of stem cells (i.e., embryonic/fetal).>
